Smokefree Policy

What is Smokefree Policy?

Smokefree and tobacco-free policies can improve the health of your community by reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, modeling healthy behaviors, and reducing litter.

For a community to be considered "smokefree", a city/county must adopt a comprehensive smoke-free law that includes indoor workplaces and public places.

For a school district to be considered "tobacco-free", the district must adopt a comprehensive tobacco-free district policy.

For a college to be considered "tobacco-free", the college must adopt a comprehensive tobacco-free campus policy.
